Playlist

Playlist editor appearance

  • Playlist font name - the name of the font that will be used to display playlist's contents (default: Tahoma)
  • Font size - the size of the font that will be used to display playlist's contents (default: 8)
  • Show items numbers - show item number before the track name (default: enabled)
  • Show item durations - show item duration after the track name (default: enabled)

E.g. the result of changing font name to MS Comic Sans, font size to 14 and unchecking Show item numbers checkbox is shown on the screenshot below.

Advanced options

  • Manual playlist advance - this option controls whether Spider Player automatically advances to the next track or not (default: disabled)
  • Recurse subdirectories when adding a folder to playlist - refers to including subdirectories in the operation; for example, if a recurse subdirectories option is enabled, the contents of all subdirectories (subfolders) will be added along with the primary subdirectory (default: enabled)
  • Clear playlist before adding CD tracks - if checked, the playlist will be emptied before Audio CD tracks will be added to it (default: enabled)
  • Save track position on close - when this option is enabled, the player will remember playback position on close and start playing from that position next time it is started automatically; useful for audiobooks, podcasts, etc. (default: disabled)

FreeDB options

  • Use server - check this if you want Spider Player to look up CD information (such as artist and title names) over the Internet; please make sure you've specified which FreeDB server to use by selecting one from the drop-down list below
  • Update list - if the drop-down server list is empty, hit this button to update it (usually, you have to do this only once)
